We are often horrified by some of the tales coming in about the level of service given to garages when it comes to suppliers. It would appear that when it comes to MOT equipment supply and installation companies it really can be a minefield.
We set about finding the very best companies we could to help our customers and have made contact with a great guy called Andy Davidson who owns and operates a company called Concept Garage equipment. After a 30-minute meeting, we knew we finally had a company that we could happily recommend to all our loyal customers.

About Andy
Going back a few years I was at Andrew Page as a Business Development Manager for Leeds and some of the surrounding areas. My role was to assist customers with the purchase of garage equipment. This then led me to join Tecalemit Garage Equipment as one of their area managers. My area was the north of the UK. I was then approached by Hofmann Megaplan to join them and set up their MOT division for them. Over the course of 5 years, I built a team of people and equipment some of which are still with the company.
I then decided to set up Concept Garage Equipment back in 2021 for two reasons. One was the obvious reason and was to earn a living for me and my family. The second one was to allow me to deliver the customer service that all customers should receive when purchasing anything. I’m sure you will agree that customer service in the automotive industry is difficult to find so this is where we differ from most others. Concept began trading back in 2022.
I’ve built Concept to be a business that any customer large or small can get everything under one roof. Whether that is equipment, MOT bays, hand tools, services, or calibrations plus a lot more. There is nothing we can’t offer a garage or workshop. From multi brand equipment to our own equipment. This allows the customer to continue to run their business day to day and leave us to find the best deals for them at their own budget.
We will continue to develop over the coming years, but customer service is at the forefront of everything we do every day. We are a small team but because of this means we can keep the cost down for the customer and allows us to be very competitive when quoting. We don’t have a big office or a fleet of vans, so our overheads are kept at a minimum which allows us to be as competitive as we are.
